Recently, the innovative product Proton Therapy System of Varian Medical Systems Particle Therapy GmbH & Co. KG was approved by China NMPA.

　　This product consists of a proton accelerator subsystem and a treatment subsystem. It is the first approved proton therapy system with superconducting cyclotron and 360-degree rotating gantry in China and is intended for the treatment of systemic solid malignant tumors, benign diseases such as trigeminal neuralgia.

　　This product adopts the superconducting cyclotron technology and uses 360-degree rotating gantry to achieve multi-angle treatment. With fast startup speed, it can shorten the treatment time and improve patient comfort while ensuring treatment effect for patients.

　　The NMPA will strengthen the post-marketing surveillance of the product to protect the safety of medical devices used by patients.
