China Center for Food and Drug International Exchange (CCFDIE), as an independent legal entity, is a public institution directly affiliated to National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). CCFDIE consists of six divisions: General Office (Personnel Division), Cooperation Division (International Project Office), Exchange Division, Development Research Division (Information Consulting Division), Foreign Affairs Service Division (Passport and Visa Division), and Finance Division.

　　The main responsibilities of CCFDIE are to:

　　Carry out food and drug related international exchange and cooperation; carry out food and drug related exchange and cooperation with Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Region;

　　Organize the implementation of non-governmental international food and drug exchange and cooperation projects;Undertake relevant work of overseas non-governmental business visits to NMPA and its affiliated institutions;Organize NMPA delegation visits/training overseas;Organize international conferences and exhibitions, provide consulting services and organize training and technical exchange;Organize research on international food and drug policies and regulations, and undertake related information services;Conduct technical review related to registration of setting up representative offices in China for overseas non-governmental organizations;Conduct preliminary review on application documents for international conferences, overseas training and visits of NMPA and its affiliated institutions;Provide services related to application of passport (Exit & Entry Permit) and visa (endorsement) for overseas official business travel of staff members of NMPA and its affiliated institutions;Undertake other tasks assigned by NMPA.Since its inception in 1989, CCFDIE has been vigorously expanding international exchange and cooperation on food, drug, medical device and cosmetics and has established close relations and collaboration with international organizations, industrial associations, chambers of commerce, scientific research institutions, foundations and transnational enterprises, such as the World Health Organization, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, World Bank, Global Fund and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

　　Over the past 30 years, CCFDIE has closely followed the regulatory priorities and coordinated special study projects and capacity-building programs accordingly. CCFDIE has organized hundreds of medium to large international conferences, summits, technical and academic workshops that are of great influence, building a solid exchange and cooperation platform of rules and policies, technical standards, quality and safety, latest innovation and cutting-edge technology. Globally well-known conferences and exhibitions, including CHINA-PHARM, China International Medical Device Regulatory Forum, DIA China Annual Meeting, IPSE-CCFDIE Annual Meeting, China Cancer Immunotherapy Workshop and ExcipientFest China, have been successfully held.

　　Over these years, CCFDIE has established a multilevel platform of dialogue by constantly expanding extensive international exchange and cooperation. As bridge over the river and window in the wall, CCFDIE has brought plenty of inspiration and a broader vision to the improvement of the regulatory blueprint and made major contribution to public food and drug safety.
